NRBA Banker Appreciation Party
during the REOMAC conference in Palm Springs.
March 18, 2001

The main goal of the NRBA is to continually build name recognition for our members, and in doing so to drive more REO listings to each and every one of them.

To that end – we spend a great deal of money during the REOMAC Education conference in March of each year.

This year was no exception and in fact we went “all out” to let everyone know who we are.

REOMAC – “REO Managers Association” is the organization for the bankers and asset mangers. REOMAC is for the “Bankers” what the NRBA is for the brokers. – Brokers are of course free to join REOMAC – and the NRBA strongly encourages this.

The REOMAC Annual Spring Conference is one of the largest events in the industry with basically “anyone who is anyone” in attendance. For the NRBA members – it is one of the best places to meet asset managers and network for business.

For that reason – the NRBA goes all out at this conference to build and further solidify our member’s names and reputations to all who attend.

During the conference itself, the NRBA members sponsored and/or donated a good portion of the events and prizes for the entire conference.

Furthermore – the main event of the conference itself was the general dinner on Monday night, during which the entertainment was a special “laser show” that could be seen from almost any vantage point during the entire dinner.

The NRBA not only solely sponsored the laser show, but also arranged to have the NRBA name and logos interspersed in colorful laser light every few minutes throughout the entire show. Just part of what the NRBA does to make sure that everyone knows who we are.

Not to rest there, the NRBA participated in and co-hosted a separate “BANKER APPRECIATION PARTY”.

On Sunday night, the first day of the conference – we took over “Muriel’s” in Palm Springs, and brought in “Grammy Award Winner” Pancho Sanchez and his orchestra.

We arranged for buses to pick everyone up from the hotel/conference and bring them over to the club. When they arrived - the bars were open – the drinks flowed, and the band was hot.

Several buffet tables were set up and stocked, and nobody wanted for anything.

The party went on well past midnight, and the dance floor was full. Everyone had a phenomenal time.

This was a great party and we had over 250 people in attendance. Just one more way that the NRBA brings more business to it’s members.
